Lumberjack Flannel and the Forks of Wabash
Sarah and Brad have been married for 5 years! I love the way that they tease and encourage each other. So much giggling. When I originally suggested that we do our session at the Forks of Wabash, I was talking about a different entrance. I had never seen this part before! The log cabins were super cool, and the trail had excellent lighting. I'm all about new locations!
Baseball and Mini Golf
Rhian is my super cute sister-in-law, and Danny is her baseball-lovin' boyfriend. On our most recent family vacay, I asked if they wanted to help me get used to shooting with my 50mm. Little did I know how cute the pictures would turn out!
We were super serious the whole time.

These two are precious.

Eclectic Boho Wedding
I waited with Brianne for Evan to pick her up for their very first date. We giggled and talked about this paradox of a man who was silly enough to wear an old iPod for a belt buckle, but serious enough to hold philosophical conversations with PhD holders. She was probably wearing smurf blue tights and rainbow nail polish.
Fast forward 3 something years and I'm applying Brianne's makeup and driving her to the field where she and Evan will do their First Looks... on their WEDDING day. Everything was lovely. His face when he saw her in her dress. Her face when he read her his vows. It was all I could do to hold back tears and take the darn pictures.
I love you two.

High Sun and Light Baby
Alli and Matt are my pastors. Their lives preach of hope and teach of joy. They are weird... like REALLY weird, and that makes me feel free to be my true weirdo-self too. Already, their newborn daughter Lucy has experienced things like Matt walking around singing "They'll Know we are Christians" before seamlessly slipping into, "they'll know you're a Lucy by your snakes, by your snakes." Alli records these things. I imagine she stores them up in her heart.
Everyone talks about who Lucy will become when she grows up. They wonder what sort of glorious odd-ball personality she will inherit from her parents. But you know what? I think she already has it. It's in her toes when they stretch straight out from her feet like her daddy when he full-body stretches. It's in the corners of her mouth when she smiles just like her mommy in her sleep.
Welcome to the world little light. You are well loved.
