This is unacceptable for a myriad of reasons. First of all, if I went to any other photographer's website and couldn't find a body of current and ongoing work, I would be like "Show me the new stuff you professional wanna-be!" The blog is one of the first page clicks by any potential client.
Second of all, not all of my clients have facebook... and as much as I would love to live in my own little world of social media, it's not fair to those who prefer to avoid it.
Thirdly, I really like the look of my images displayed next to each other on a single page. They tell the story more than having to click from one picture to the next. A wedding isn't just the first kiss, or the reception table centerpieces. It's a whole day of wonder. I want you to be able to see everything in context.
So, I begin again. A fresh start is just what I need. Like cracking the spine of a new journal- or releasing the shutter on the first shot of a photo fun-venture.
